Bob Rae likely to run

I'm... intrigued. I hope he runs, the more the merrier. The race is wide open, with no obvious front-runner or favourite, and the list of people who could occupy that position come convention time just goes on and on, so it's a great time for anyone who's ever thought to themselves, "I think I should lead the Liberal party" to consider running.

I am glad he entered the race, but I hope he doesn't win. When you consider how unpopular he still is in Ontario, I suspect the Cons would not only win all their rural Ontario seats, but would probably pick-up most of the 905 belt seats. Sure he may do well in Toronto, but those ridings will go Liberal no matter what. That being said I hope he runs for an MP. I would suggest Parkdale-High Park, which is a left-leaning riding and currently held by the NDP, so at least he could help us gain that seat back, without costing us 20 other seats outside Toronto.
