Dildoes: A Threat to America
The Republican base (read: lunatics) continue their Fight Against Evil (TM) by expanding the front yet again. The target this time: sex toys. Isn't it funny that this article seems like it could have been written for The Onion? Conservatism strikes again! What exactly differentiates the social values of these people from those of the Islamists?

So some loon dreams up an unlikely-to-pass bill that nobody will sponsor and suddenly it's the "Republican base"?
Do you actually doubt that the religious fanatics that control the party would agree with this bill?
Sadly, politicians and courts are enforcing these stupid laws.

I think you're too quick to try and marginalize them by labeling it "lunacy." If you or I were in the majority we probably wouldn't, but it's their state(s) and it's up to them to choose the laws they live under. I don't see this as much different as imposing smoking bans, or limiting game sales to minors, or restricting pornography. It may be disagreeable but it's hardly beyond the pale.
If you think that's lunacy, then you don't know what lunacy is. These are the kind of people that deserve that billing.
