Oh, Danny boy
Danny Williams has long been one of my favourite Canadian leaders. Here's a good reason why.
Because I can only subject my poor friends and family to my political rantings and ravings for so long.

I'm from the Province and I have to agree with you 80%. He does definitely have his people in mind and he wasn't bothered by giving gays human rights. A well rounded individual. He can be quite stubborn though.
The Liberal party in NFLD is in disarray, especially in my former district (before moving to Ontario) of Burgeo & Lapoile where Liberal MHA Kelvin L. Parsons has been exposed for asking the Premier for a provincial judiciary post in exchange for his son (a conservative) to run to replace him. Hes got another son interested who is a liberal, (Iknow both, grew up with them and if either is elected it would prove that in North America we can also elect a pig bladder on a stick just like in the UK.) Liberals seem to be our own worst enemy. I personally would move back if I know I had a shot in hell of breaking up the new Parson family tradition of passing governance within the family and running for the riding myself.
Seems we need the provincial parties to clean house along with the federal.
And the obvious reason that he came out in a random brief statement supporting gay marriage after signing a closed-door deal with Martin over offshore oil.
