The results thus far...

Well, I've already got 147 votes in my poll, so I figure I may as well post the results as of now. (If anything substantial changes, I'll update it again.) And by the way: go vote!

First Ballot:
Stephane Dion - 24.5%
Bob Rae - 22.4%
Scott Brison - 19.0%
Michael Ignatieff - 16.3%
Ken Dryden - 9.5%
Gerard Kennedy - 8.2%

Second Ballot:
Stephane Dion - 26.5%
Bob Rae - 24.5%
Scott Brison - 19.0%
Michael Ignatieff - 18.4%
Ken Dryden - 11.6%

Third Ballot:
Stephane Dion - 30.6%
Bob Rae - 25.2%
Scott Brison - 23.8%
Michael Ignatieff - 20.4%

Fourth Ballot:
Stephane Dion - 37.4%
Scott Brison - 34.0%
Bob Rae - 28.6%

Fifth Ballot:
Scott Brison - 51.7%
Stephane Dion - 48.3%

I'll withhold comment for now, except to say that for a considerable period yesterday Dion was taking it easily on the third or even second ballots. I don't know what happened.

I don't know what happened.

It's a fun idea but as far as I can see there's nothing to prevent people from voting again and again and inflating the numbers, so that's probably why Dion was so far ahead yesterday and Brison is surging today.

Entertainment purposes only and what not, no wagering. :)

It doesn't matter who the next leader is going to be. They are not going to beat Harper and the Conservatives.

So have your little Liberal love-in; you're still going to be in Opposition. That is, if the NDP let you.

Actually, the poll records your IP#, your computer's unique hardware identification as well as sending a tracking cookie forming a security line that makes it next to impossible for multiple voting to occur.

What we could be seeing is just the initial waves of support from respective organizers hitting the poll, Rae made quite the jump earlier today. As the days go on however, the poll will balance out pretty well.

And as for the anonymous con, pull your head out of your ass. Your remarks weren't witty or insightful and only speaks volumes to your own insecurity in the conservatives chances for the next election.
