Donald Rumsfeld is a War Criminal

Donald Rumsfeld may soon be an international criminal. Can you think of anything more fitting?

Rummy better be careful about travelling abroad in the coming years. He could find himself in The Hague.

Hi,

I'll repeat my response to Liberal Catnip:

It's truly sad, namely for two reasons:

1) Hipocrisy. Why target only Americans when true murderers go unnoticed? It's blatant anti-Americanism.

2) Universal jurisdiction. Those who are concerned about unilateralism should have a serious issue with countries unilaterally apply domestic or international law to foreign nationals and/or individuals outside their country for acts committed outside their borders. Yikes !!

1) To be fair, most of those true murderers are supported by the American government. But more to the point, Donald Rumsfeld is a private citizen now. He can be prosecuted in other countries, if he goes there, under their jurisdiction.

2) I'm not saying it SHOULD happen. I'm saying it could. For the record, though, I would wholly support the International Criminal Court prosecuting Rumsfeld.

I can't imagine that anything substantial will come of this.

I highly doubt anything will happen. Although I would at least like to see some countries bar him from visiting their country. Even here in Canada, we should bar him from crossing the border.
