Rae off the cuff
I learned tonight that Bob Rae's speech wasn't written, that he delivered it off the cuff.
If that's the case, I have to say I'm very impressed. For a prepared speech, it wasn't phenomenal. But if it was delivered on the spot, it was mangificent. Just to be fair.

It sure looked to me as if it was off the top of his head.... !! All the pauses suggested he was either collecting his thoughts, or couldn't remember what he'd started out to say - not that I hold it against him. If Dion doesn't win, I'd be happy with Rae.
Normally, if there is a script, the press have copies, which is how the CBC gang knew Dion had not gotten through his, before the music started.
They said Rae was speaking extemporaneously, and I believe them.
He is a typical lying politician eith the gift of the gab...give me a man of the people like ken dryden.....bob rae is a liar..he is a cheat...anything to get elected and let the jean chretien politics take over again. Many of my family worked for him....he is not what he appears to be...it is all a sham to get the big guys back in charge...like power corp.
